I'm Megan, the owner and full time portrait photographer of Megan Taylor Photography. I'm based in Cypress, but happily serve Houston, Katy, Tomball and surrounding areas of Texas.
I live in Cypress with my husband, Kevin, and we became parents in 2022, to a little girl. Our daughter Cameryn has turned our world upside down in the best possible way! She is wild and adventurous and has already played model for some photo shoots!
I decided to focus more on portraits instead of weddings in 2023, and now operate a studio out of my home in Cypress. I have already photographed newborns, dogs and business portraits in my space!
I'm a very laid back person and I'd love to get to know you and your family!

What I love Most:
I became passionate about photography after my first mission trip to Haiti. When I went back for the second time I took my camera along and just wanted to capture our orphans so that I could remind myself that there is more to this world than any of the problems that we concern ourselves with in our regular day to day.
I started doing photography for friends (typical beginning to a photographer’s story) and then in 2018, I officially started my photography business. It has been a roller coaster ride ever since! I made the leap to photography full time in 2020 (in the middle of a pandemic and planning my own wedding, YIKES), and while it has been hard it has been the best decision for my family and our plans for the future.

I have worked hard at developing my style and I describe it as warm, inviting and authentic. My portrait experience has also been perfected over the years, and I pride myself in my ability to create an environment that is stress-free, and dare I say...fun! Even if you feel awkward in front of cameras, even if your spouse is not jazzed about the idea of portrait session, even if your little ones tend to act up in these situations — I will make you feel comfortable and relaxed so that I can capture your true selves.
This is more than just getting your picture taken. My goal is to provide you with physical artwork for your home—not just digital images that will sit in your phone gallery. I've perfected my experience over the years to help guide you every step of the way so that you'll end up with portraits you just can't help but want to cover your walls with.

Running a business isn't easy, but this one brings me so much genuine joy. I truly feel blessed to be able to capture meaningful moments in time and then deliver those moments to my clients to relive. I'd be honored to get to do so for you, your family, or your business too.
