When you think of an in-home newborn session, I bet you are picturing the typical lifestyle type photos. I offer those type of newborn sessions, but I can also come to your home with an entire set up to provide you with studio style newborn photos.

Yep, I traveled to this cutie’s home and took these in her living room when she was 15 days old! In-home posed/styled newborn sessions are possible! I know as a new mom, I preferred having the photographer come to me. The thought of getting everything together to spend 3 hours in a studio sounded impossible! I had a in-home lifestyle session done two weeks after my daughter was born and it was so easy because I had everything I needed at my disposal. I want to offer the same option to my clients that want studio style and lifestyle photos.

Give me all the Rustic and Boho Vibes

When talking with this little one’s mom I asked her what her nursery looked like and she sent me a photo of a boho buffalo pink and turquoise print. I pulled a pink and a teal drop and then told her we would also do a neutral set up and she gave me the thumbs up. Check out the set ups and some of the cute images we got of this blondie!

I bring everything I need with me for the session, but if you want to incorporate special or sentimental items I would love to coordinate my set ups around them! We discuss the set up options prior to the session and then we preselect a few different set ups and we work through everything we can. If we get your session on the books with enough time I can even special order some backdrops and props.

Sometimes babies decide they don’t want to be perfectly sleepy moldable subjects. And that’s okay! I am a very go with the flow person, if the baby is not having it, we move on or make minor adjustments that might make baby more comfortable. This little one preferred being wrapped as you can see from the sweet content look on her face in the picture below. As your photographer I go in with a game plan, but with the assumption that I will likely have to adjust based on baby.

P.S. Momma had this one printed on a large canvas!

What is stopping you?!

I only book one newborn session per day because babies are unpredictable. If you would like to have a styled newborn session like this then please get in touch with me! If you also want lifestyle newborn photos in the baby’s nursery or other rooms in your home, I also offer those. We could even do a combo session and include some of both styles! I would love to talk more with you about the options. These new family members deserve to be celebrated and who wouldn’t love photos like these?!
