Tomball Birth Center is a spacious, luxurious, home-like setting where families can welcome their new babies. The Birth Center runs under three experienced midwives, each offering personalized one-on-one care to individual clients. Owner Holly has been practicing midwifery for over 23 years and has helped over 1500 babies enter the world!
The Birth Center itself has several spacious birthing suites, elegantly decorated and featuring large soaking tubs. The center is full of natural light and feels like a comfortable, cozy home. In addition to the birthing suites, there is an exam room, large waiting areas with televisions, and a large front porch with comfortable seating.
Services
When you choose Tomball Birth Center for your birth experience, you can plan on using them for all of your maternity care. Every prenatal appointment, lab, and sonogram can be done directly from the Birth Center. When you’re ready to deliver, you’ll also labor and give birth at the Birth Center.
Each prenatal visit will give you time to get to know your midwife, have your questions answered, and check in about your health. They’ll run any necessary testing to ensure you and your baby are healthy and thriving.
When it’s time to deliver, you can bring your support team to keep you company and cheer you on throughout your labor. Your midwife will use her expertise to assess your needs, suggest tips and tricks to manage pain and discomfort, and keep a close eye on your baby as their arrival gets closer and closer.
In the final moments of your delivery, your partner (or any designated person you choose( can help catch your baby or provide support in whichever way is best for you. Once the baby is born, they immediately hand them to the mom, and any necessary newborn assessments occur in the first few moments while the mom is holding her baby. There is no newborn nursery at Tomball Birth Center, so your baby will stay with you throughout the rest of your stay.
Specialty
If you decide it’s right for you, Tomball Birth Center is also an excellent choice for moms interested in water birth. Some women labor in a tub of warm water to help alleviate pain and discomfort, and others will deliver while in the tub.
This eases your baby’s transition from the womb, as the warm water is similar to the one they’ve been growing in for the past nine months. Waterbirth is also believed to reduce stress during labor and delivery and fetal complications.
